You see, normally I would never consider switching brands as an option, but this is a deal I kind of cannot turn down. My uncle recently upgraded to a Canon 7D, meaning I could have his 20D plus bazillions of lenses for a minute price.
See my current list of camera stuff:
*Nikon D50
*its kit lens
*70-300 f/4.5-5.6 (ultra crappy)
*50mm f/1.8 (my only lens that I like)
Compared to what I would get: (updated)
*Canon 20D w/ battery grip
*28mm f/2.8
*50mm f/1.8
*135mm f/2.8
and the dealbreaker!
the 14-70mm f/4L & 70-200mm f/4L !!!!!!!!!!!
So those two wouldn't be mine, but he never uses the telephoto and its brand new, so I could have it most of the time. Plus the wide angle sometimes. I almost cried when he told me this. Before the L-series, I was kind of considering the switch, but now how could I not? And after thinking about it, I'm still keeping my Nikon so I'll have both brands. Plus he really wants to get an external flash, so I could borrow it instead of buying my own. Yay for mooching!
Do you guys think its worth the switch? I love my Nikon colors, but I cant pass up an L-series telephoto! Come on (;
Oh, and merry christmas everyone! Hope yours was as lovely as mine!
