This has no relevance to dA at all, but I figured I'd show you guys anyway. I don't have a website yet, but I finally got an account for selling softball photos, which is how I make money. Here youu go:

Though I'm sure no one on here is interested in them, haha. (=

I'll be uploading TONS of shots from spring spectacular soon. There's soooo many of them (it was a 2 week long show).

We ended up being able to show Hero this weekend, even after he scraped up his knees from a fall the day before they were shipped up. It was my first "A" show. I won mini medal (in the biggest show in the midwest!!) and got two 3rds in novice childrens, which had like 30 kids in it! Aaand actually placed in the novice flat, even though Hero hates flat classes and was flipping out the whole time. I went into it expecting nothing, so that was a pretty amazing surprise. And we got 4th, 6th, and 5th in the maiden o/f stuff, plus 4th in the $1000 novice classic! It was pretty sweet

Well, I'm almost 100% sure Cora just isn't going to work out. She's heading in the direction of their last horse- and fast- and I don't want to be a part of that. No matter how much she's ridden by me or the other people training her (besides the owners), her training is just going backwards.

She's in this "I hate my job" mindset now, and is acting more psychotic every day. The owners are slightly clueless about pretty much everything, and I don't want to be in this frustrating situation anymore. Plus, my friend's horse who was lame is pretty much back and she's maybe looking for a shareboarder. She's an amaaazing rider, so no worries about ruining horses! hahaa.

Sorry for the inactivity, too. It's the last week of school and I've been concentrating on finals most of the time, with photography on the back burner. I've started taking softball pictures to hopefully pay for shows this summer, so that's also been a big priority.

I promise I'll be back in about a week, though! We have a small barn show today & tomorrow so hopefully I'll have some new uploads from that.

some good news, finally.

We had a schooling show the other day, and Cora was amazing! Granted, we trotted into every line because she wasn't listening, but that's what the schooling part is for anyway. We ended up actually getting reserve in the junior eq against my friends with "A" horses, plus we won the flat. She ended up totally shocking me as far as how good she was.

She was really bad for her owners in the morning, but by the time I got on she was tired (; I've decided to keep riding her, since things are coming along really nicely now. It was just a matter of figuring out how to get along together. I think we've figured that out now and hopefully she'll be ready to do the summer shows.

Oh, also I might do Equifest or Spring Spectacular on Hero. They're huge national AA shows and it's going to be hugely awesome! I can't wait (=

another dilemma.

Ok, so now I've got another problem. lmao. We have a sort of 'official' photographer at the barn already, and I'm not sure what to do with that situation. She's the nicest person ever, I shareboarded her horses for 3 years, and I'd do anything for her. She hires me a few times a year to work a horse show or the occasional wedding (She has a photography company).

The only problem is, I'm not sure what to do since people at the barn have been coming to me alot more lately for photo shoots. I feel like I'm taking her business, but at the same time I really need the money. Also, some kids have asked me to photograph them at the shows, even though they've always bought the show pictures from her in the past. I don't want her to think I'm trying to take her clients away, because I'm really not. I've never done advertising there or anything. It's just word of mouth that's getting everyone more interested in my work than hers...

What should I do?
